Jill and I woke up early to bake bread and watch LOST. She is officially hooked on the show. My plan to make everyone watch this show is working, one person at a time.. Muhahaha.
Charlotte is fun as usual. We are celebrating Jamie's birthday/departure for Paris today! Thanksgiving feast in August! I am excited for turkey and mint chocolate chip ice cream cake and baguettes!
Recently I have been listening to the self-titled debut from The XX. Great British pop album that has kind of taken hold recently. Always trying to find new music!
Oh yeah I've officially decided that my fantasy baseball team is worthless. Roy Halladay and Adam Wainwright are both pitching for me tonight. Hopefully Wainwright continues his Cy Young potential streak while Halladay gets back on track since his injury a month ago. I'm frustrated that he has not pitched even close to his potential ever since I traded for him. Irritating to think that my team is where All-Star and MVP pitchers come to die (Yes, I'm talking to you Cole Hamels!)

it's too early
I'm three cups deep into a fresh pot of coffee. I will need at least this to shuffle through an agonizing 7 AM shift at BB&B. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I get to go see Jill tonight! We're going to continue watching LOST! I'm excited that I was able to introduce the show to her.
Great time with family and friends last night. I'm so grateful for the support system I have in this town. I am certainly lucky and wouldn't trade my family for anyone else in the world.
Well, just wanted to post something before I run off to work for "the man". I think I'll make a theory-esque post about LOST sometime this week. Or maybe I'll continue my "Deep End" mix series. Who knows.

It's been a while
I've been a busy guy lately. Lots of new things have been going on.
A great new relationship.. Awesome concerts this summer.. Lots of working and job hunting. It's been a busy and fully invigorating time in my life. I feel as if things are truly moving forward.
I'm thankful every day for Jill. She's a great girlfriend and companion who I feel comfortable with. I've truly cherished my time with her, as short as it is, and look forward to many more great memories together.
Earlier this week we went to Bass Lake and Blowing rock. We hiked 7 miles! The weather was beautiful and downtown Blowing Rock was really quaint and peaceful. Overall, a great time.
I went back to Asheville for the first time a few weeks ago for Harvest Records' TRANSFIGURATIONS festival. Great shows, great people. I miss that town but I still felt more like a visitor. For all the great times I spent in that city, it's apparent to me that it's no longer my "home". I've grown out of that stage in my life. And while I love my friends and will always love that city, I am glad to be moving on in my life.
Bed Bath & Beyond is actually quite rewarding as of late. I'm receiving more responsibility and truly feel that I'm fitting into place there. While I'm constantly searching for a more rewarding career choice with more growth I am grateful that I have a solid opportunity with BB&B.
Expect more updates soon. I'm going to try to review some albums and keep up with some more blogging. I miss the outlet and feel that I can still have fun doing it even though I have less time.
